Crossbody Bonanza!

I am loving the new crossbody bag trend! However, this poses three problems: 1) Which one(s) do I choose? 2) How do I convince my hubby I need to buy one (or some)? 3) How will I fit all the junk I'm used to carrying around in my fashionably over sized hobo into a much smaller bag?

Journal-Mania!

Family Tree---this is by no means complete--Jesse and I both have huge extended families!!! This is the only way I could get this to fit in my journal. (Sorry to all the fam that I left out--Y'all know I got nothing but love for ya!)

Yes, I did misspell Eleanor Roosevelt's name---this will be fixed when I can get my hands on my orange Prismacolor marker again :) Wait, did I misspell the word misspell? Not sure!

Christmas in July

How cute is this???!!!

This Baby's 1st Christmas ornament just came in the mail for me from OrnamentShop.com and I am so excited to present it to my sister once she has her little boy, Tyson, who is due in July :)

This is the packaging in which the ornament arrived to me--very quickly and in perfect condition, by the way!

You should really check out OrnamentShop.com. They have lots of ornaments which arent your traditional Christmas ornament, such as...Travel Ornaments, Pet Ornaments, and even Occupation Ornaments! (Of course, if you prefer traditional Christmas ornaments, they carry those as well...)

Excuses, Excuses

I have been out of town this past weekend, so I have not been posting my journal pages. I just wanted to quickly tell everyone "hi" and to let you know I have been hard at work in my journal and will post my new pages later :)

30 Day Journal Challenge~Day 7

Ok, so today was Prompt 7 -- to write a letter to someone special. I am married to a very special man named Jesse, so of course I wrote my letter to him! I told him that I love him more than he will ever know and that I am glad to be his wife, among some other things :)

Problem is, I feel like what I wrote is so special that I want to keep it between me and him. So for today, all you're getting is a pic of us lovebirds...

30 Day Journal Challenge-Day 6

I know it might not seem like a big deal to you, but wow, this 30 Day Journal Challenge has really been making me refocus on my wants and dreams and it's helping me get out of the day to day humdrum that I sometimes slip into!

Today's prompt, Prompt 6, was to write a letter to yourself telling yourself how awesome you are :)

Here is mine...



Let me explain...

At this season in my life, I am working full time to help put my hubby through school and we are waiting until he finishes his undergrad (approx 2 more years) to try to have kids. What makes that even more difficult sometimes is that some of my close friends and family members have kids and that makes me want them all the more! And it doesn't help matters that I am almost 30 years old.

Anyway, I have an awesome niece and nephew (and another one on the way!) that I can dote on :) I also have to remember that my mom didn't even get married until she was 30--I'm only 28!

I needed a reminder that I enjoy the time I get to spend with just me, or just me and my hubs, and the time that I can just sit and blog, or crochet, or craft, or read my Bible without a little one needing me 24/7.

I need to be reminded that I have artistic talent, which I have not been taking time to use and enjoy. I have just been laying it to the side for the past few years, and lately and have been using my talents more and more and I'm getting excited about it!

I have a really great life and I am very blessed...I just needed to write a letter to remind myself of that today!!!

30 Day Journal Challenge~Days 2 through 5

This weekend was verrrryyyy busy and I'm exausted, so that's why I am posting journal pages 2 thru 5 together.

My parents enjoyed their 30th wedding anniversary this year, which fell on May 31st---and they wanted a party, so we ended up throwing them one at their church's fellowship hall on Saturday evening. They delegated everyone certain prep tasks and of course, I volunteered myself to do all the decorating (naturally). :)

So after spending all day running around town, making 15 flower arrangements, yada yada yada, and then actually attending the party and cleaning up afterwards, I did not have time to post! Then, I work full time (I won't even go into that~'nuff said!)

I have been keeping up with my journal though! Here is what I've done so far...

I have accepted the challenge and here is my first page...

What do ya think? I'm pretty stoked about this challenge b/c I love journaling and doodling and jotting my ideas all down in one place. And I get to used my beloved, but long lost, Prismacolor markers that have barely seen the light of day since design school!
