Really?!

Well, my new glasses came yesterday. I was so excited when I pulled up to my apartment after work yesterday and saw a small rectangular box on my front stoop!

The first thing I did after I went inside was open them up...

Well, lo and behold---they are the wrong ones! Aww man...I looked online and checked my order, but the ones on my order are the ones I received. So, I'm not really sure about coastalcontacts.com. I could have sworn up and down I ordered these super cute Vera Wang glasses...

but these are the ones I got...

And they are tiny!!! There is no way to prove it, but I am convinced they changed my order. Oh, well-guess you get what you pay for. At least they are the correct prescription. I might try this site one more time, but if they mess up again, that's it. I will let you know how my next order turns out...

Arm Candy

A Shopoholic's Excitement

Yes, I will admit it. I like to shop. A lot. But, in my defense, if I want or need something, no one else is going to buy it for me, so I have to look out for #1. And I am an excellent shopper. I never buy anything that is not on sale, unless it's already a good deal or I'm in desperate need for it.

I'm so excited about my most recent purchases!!! I have ordered the following items to arrive at my home any time now between now and the first week of May...Can't wait to try them out!

New Vera Wang Glasses (purchased for super cheap from CoastalContacts.com)

Futon from WalMart.com for my living room (the pic does not do it justice at all!) I will have to take pics with the futon in it's new habitat once we get it all put together :)

Cute and inexpensive patches from etsy.com. Bought a brown t-shirt to put the elephant on and a light blue one for the bird. Pics to come once this project gets completed!

And last, but not least...

This is not the exact skirt I ordered, but almost just like it :) Cannot wait to wear it!!!



DIY Collages

Found a good use for the huge stacks of design and fashion magazines I own :) Made collages out of interesting words and framed them in black 11x14 frames. A cute, cheap way to dress up the little hallway leading to my bathroom...sorry, the pics don't really do them justice!

Patch Things Up

I am so bummed...For the past week or so, I haven't been able to wear my most favorite jeans in the world because they are so worn out that two holes have worn in the butt at the bottom corners of each pocket.

No worries, though, because I am going to patch them up and keep on wearing them :)

Mad About Turquoise

My mom came up to visit me on Saturday and while she was here, we went to check out the Southern Womens' Show at the NC State Fairgrounds. While we were there, she bought me this awesome turquoise charm bracelet from Dante's 925's booth.

Anyway, I love love love turquoise jewelry and always have. I think it's because my art teacher in elementary, middle, and high school (the same lady all the way through) always wore it and I admired her so much. I have been so drawn to it lately, that I decided I would post about it. Here are some really cool pieces I came across when I was "online window shopping"...Enjoy!

I am really into collage right now and I have been scouring Etsy.com for inspiration (well, I've also been shopping, but that's beside the point).

maechevrette is a shop I just found that has a few collages that fit my mood today. I think I am drawn to them because the colors she uses remind me of the beach, which I love. Hope you enjoy!
