I love changing the wreath on our front door for each major holiday/season, but I cannot afford to go buy one every time I want to. Since I am thrifty (and creative), I use existing wreath forms I already own and "recycle" them when the flowers and decorations on them start to look old or worn out, or when I simply get tired of them.
The most recent wreath I made was for Valentine's Day. Shown here is the pic of the finished product. Want one? You can make it! It's cheap and easy and here is the how-to:
You will need:
A heart shaped (or shape of your choice) grapevine wreath form (preferably recycled), 1 bouquet of artificial white roses and 2 bouquets of red roses (I got mine at Dollar Tree), 1 roll of red heart garland (also purchased at Dollar Tree), artificial ivy garland, heart shaped ornaments of felt or any other material, hot glue gun (optional) and green floral wire (optional), and wire cutters
Directions:
1) Remove any "old" decorations from your wreath form.
2) Wrap ivy garland around wreath form, securing with hot glue and/or floral wire as necessary.
3) Wrap red heart garland around wreath form, overlapping the ivy, and securing as necessary.
4) Attach heart ornaments to the wreath form to your liking and secure with hot glue as necessary.
5) Separate each individual stem of the 3 rose bouquets using wire cutters.
6) Arrange flowers around wreath to fill in areas around heart ornaments by sticking the stems into the wreath form and securing with floral wire and/or glue as necessary.
7) Hang up and enjoy!

wreath form = $12

heart ornaments = $6
Total = $25 (total cost of my project was actually only $9, as I "recycled" the wreath form, ivy garland, and white roses)
